Description

Description

The project involves the improvement and expansion of the San Jerónimo de Cusco wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Cusco, Peru. The San Jerónimo WWTP is currently functioning at its designated maximum capacity of 580 liters/second. Even during peak periods, the flow surges, exceeding 800 liters/second. The project encompasses the conceptualization, funding, construction, operation, and maintenance of this infrastructure for a span of 23 years. The intended beneficiaries are an anticipated population of approximately 750,000 residents within the city of Cusco. This plant is slated to possess the capability to process 200,000 m3 of wastewater daily. The treated water will find utility in irrigation and various non-potable applications. By mitigating pollution and enhancing water quality, this plant stands to elevate the quality of life for the Cusco populace.
