San José - Yarabamba, Piura Nueva - Colán, Belaunde Terry - Tarapoto Norte Transmission Lines

This project involves the modernization and expansion of the San José - Yarabamba, Piura Nueva - Colán, Belaunde Terry - Tarapoto Norte transmission lines, located in San Martin, Arequipa, Lambayeque and Piura regions, Peru. The sponsor for this initiative, the Interconexión Eléctrica (ISA), won a 30-year concession with an additional offer of O&M annual fee of $2.6m. The San José - Yarabamba transmission line will have 500kV capacity with a total of 50km and additional works for the expansion of the San Jose 500/220 kV and Yarabamba 500 kV substations. The Piura Nueva - Colán transmission line will have 220kV capacity with a total length of 67.7km and it will provide a connection between Piura Nueva and Nueva Colan substations. The Belaunde Terry - Tarapoto Norte transmission line will have 220kV capacity with and includes the installation of two circuits - Belaunde Terry - Tarapoto Norte 220kV with 87km and Tarapoto Norte - Punto 138 kV with 15km, a total of 102km. The total project cost is $85.9m.
