The project involves the construction of the 112MW San Marcos Wind Complex, located in Choluteca Department, Honduras. Construction works also include a 95km of 230kv transmission line will from the Choluteca Department to the Francisco Morazan Department, a new 230kv substation and additional reinforcement works in two existing substations. The complex will generate around 500 GWh a year and will benefit around 460 thousand people in Honduras avoiding emission of 390 000 tonnes of CO2 a year. The special purpose vehicle for the project is San Marcos Wind Energy, and the sponsor is Total Eren. The total investment stands at $370 million.
