Description
Description | "This project involves the construction of the San Martin Solar PV Plant and transmission infrastructure in the Arequipa region of Chile. The planned generation capacity of the San Martin Solar Plant is 300 MW. The sponsor for this initiative is the Spanish renewables developer Solarpack. With an installed capacity of nearly 300 MW, the San Martin solar plant underscores Solarpack's commitment to renewable energy and significantly contributes to the diversification of Peru's energy matrix. By generating more than 819 GWh annually, the plant will supply clean energy equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of over 444,000 homes, while avoiding the emission of more than 564,000 tons of CO2 each year. The total project cost is $195 million, comprising a senior loan of $159 million provided by BBVA, Groupe Crédit Agricole, Natixis, and BNP Paribas, as well as a $19 million revolving credit facility from BBVA. Additionally, BBVA has provided $17 million guarantee facilities and IRS hedging. The financial close date is March 26, 2024." https://www.bbvacib.com/insights/news/bbva-leads-the-financing-of-the-san-martin-solar-project-peru-to-solarpack/ ; https://solarquarter.com/2024/03/22/solarpack-secures-landmark-financing-deal-for-perus-san-martin-solar-plant-spearheading-renewable-energy-expansion-in-latin-america/ https://www.bbvacib.com/insights/news/bbva-leads-the-financing-of-the-san-martin-solar-project-peru-to-solarpack/ ; https://solarquarter.com/2024/03/22/solarpack-secures-landmark-financing-deal-for-perus-san-martin-solar-plant-spearheading-renewable-energy-expansion-in-latin-america/ |
