Description | The expansion of the Sandalwood Transit Facility was envisioned in an earlier Transit Facility Operations and Facility Programming Study. While the bus storage and administration expansion has recently been completed, the maintenance expansion was placed on hold due to limited funding. The expansion is required to support the forecasted growth of transit fleet services and to ensure that the vehicles operated on a daily basis are effectively maintained. By utilizing the PTIF to fund this expansion, this will also help improve service reliability and support new technologies. |
