Sandvik Greater Sudbury Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Facility

under construction

Global engineering group Sandvik is investing more than $85 million to establish a new maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in Greater Sudbury. The new 135,000-square-foot facility will double the existing workshop capacity and include workshop areas, expanded office space, welding facilities, a paint booth, BEV-dedicated infrastructure, and a technology-focused simulator area for equipment operators and maintenance training. It replaces Sandvik's long-standing location at 100 Magill St. in Lively and prioritizes circularity, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and minimizing environmental impact.
