Joint Russian-Tajik company Sangtudinskaya GES-1, a subsidiary of Inter RAO UES, was developing the 670 MW Sungtuda 1 Hydropower Plant Vakhsh River, Danghara District, Khatlon Province. Annual output was estimated at 2,700 GWh, by 4 167.5 MW Francis turbines from Power Machines. The equity was held by the Government of Russia (66.39%), the Government of Tajikistan (16.45%), FGC UES (14.92%) and Inter RAO UES (2.24%). FGC UES (Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System) (MICEX-RTS: FEES) was a Russian Transmission company, owned for 75% by the Russian government. The remaining 25% was free floating, of which the Russian government held ~2% as well. Inter RAO was majority state-owned but publicly traded (MICEX-RTS: IRAO). The project was commissioned in July 2009. Construction resumed in April 2005 after a halt in the early 1990s. The project initially started in 1989. The output is sold to Barqi Tojik, the national electricity company. Construction lasted 4 years, FC is assumed to be June 2006 (25%). The project was recorded as being 84% private (100%-16.45%). Total cost was $720 million. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sangtuda_1_Hydroelectric_Power_Plant http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inter_RAO_UES
