This relining project of Manholes is expected to rehabilitate and prolong the life of the asset. Lining offers multiple benefits including the prevention of bricks and concrete breaking off and creating backup, new benching prevents blockages and backups, and limits the amount of groundwater infiltration into our wastewater system that requires treatment . This kind of work is becoming cost prohibitive to the City without larger contracts as the mobilization to Dryden is expensive. Dependent on the area these repairs could affect up to 100 homes and prevent sewer backup.
