Santiago Airport's New International Terminal Construction Project

The project involves the development of a 200,00 m² new international passenger terminal, remodeling and expanding the existing domestic passenger terminal, and constructing more than 4,000 new parking spaces in a multi-story car park in Santiago Airport, Chile.It doubles the terminal’s capacity to 20 million passengers annually, addressing a 56% rise in domestic traffic since 2015. The 35,000 m² renovation, conducted in two phases, includes 104 check-in counters, 50 self-check-in modules, 12 baggage carousels (expandable during peak demand), 49 commercial spaces (23 retail, 26 food), and 5 lounges under tender. It added a new arrivals area, eight gates in the T1-A building (operational since September 2024), and direct access to flexible Gates B and D, enhancing efficiency. Combined with Terminal 2, the airport can handle 38 million passengers yearly, strengthening its role as a Latin American hub.
