Fundación Educacional Santo Tomás (“Santo Tomás” or the “Company”) is a non-for-profit higher education private institution in Chile. Santo Tomás has over 89,000 students in 56 campuses spread over 19 cities across Chile including Arica, Iquique, Antofagasta, Copiapó, La Serena, Ovalle, Viña Del Mar, Santiago, Rancagua, Curicó, Talca, Chillan, Concepción, Los Angeles, Temuco, Valdivia, Osorno, Puerto Montt and Punta Arenas. Santo Tomás targets lower and emerging middle-income segments operating under three different units which were founded from 1982:• Universidad Santo Tomás (UST):  Universities with 13 campuses across Chile and serves 27.9k students (31% of Santo Tomás’ total).• Instituto Profesional Santo Tomás (IPST): A professional institute with 21 campuses across Chile and serves 24.0k students (27% of Santo Tomás’ total).• Centro de Formación Técnica Santo Tomás (“CFTST”): A technical education center with 22 campuses across Chile and serves 37.3k students (42% of Santo Tomás’ total). The proposed IFC investment is a USD50 million long-term debt facility to finance the company’s CAPEX including the development of new sites, the expansion and upgrade of existing facilities, the implementation of new IT infrastructure, and maintenance CAPEX including (among other) new equipment and technology (“the Project”).
