Cosan - Operadora Portuaria S.A. won a 20-year concession to rehabilitate and operate the Teacu II Dry Bulk Terminal (Teacu II - Armazens 5, 10, 20, and 23) at the Port of Santos on March 7th of 1996. The total area of the terminal is 60,109 square meters. Cosan has to pay monthly installments of US$ 75,100 (R$ 78,100) to CODESP, the government agency responsible for the Port of Santos. The company announced that it expect to invest US$ 32.3 million (R$ 33.6 million) during the concession period to rehabilitate the terminal facilities. In 2008, Cosan and Grupo Nova America agreed to the creation of Rumo Logistica S.A., a company that would own the port assets of these two groups, including Cosan - Operadora Portuaria S.A. and Teacu Armazens Gerais (ID 2976). Rumo Logistica shares were divided as follows: Cosan (71.2%) and Nova America (28.8%). In 2012, Rumo Logistica invested US$ 102.5 million (BRL 200 million) in the rehabilitation and expansion of its port facilities in Santos, which were established with a handling capacity of 11 million tons per year. Only port projects which committed US$ 10 million or more in investments were included in the database. From 1996 to 2003 the Cosan invested US$ 32 million in the terminal.
