The project entails the concession for integrated solid waste management and management system in the Municipality of Sao Bernardo do Campo, comprising the execution of urban cleaning services, implementation of a program for the minimization and management of urban waste and construction, implementation and operation of the Waste Processing and Utilization System and Energy Recovery Unit (SPAR-URE-SBC), and remediation of the Alvarenga old dump area under 30 years contract. SPV is SBC Valorizacao de Residuos S.A., a JV between the sponsors Lara Central de Tratamiento de Residuos Ltda. and Revita Engenharia SA. Total value of the contract is R$5.518.985.201 or $ 2.685 billion. For the structuring of the project, a Public Consultation was held on 06/03/2011, followed by a Bid published on 02/15/2012. The Bidding for this Administrative Concession took place through a National Competition of the Technique and Price type in which consortia of up to three (3) companies were allowed to form.
