This project involves the enlargement and modernization of the Sao Paulo - Rio de Janeiro Highway (Dutra highway), located in the state of Sao Paulo and the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The project total longitude is 625.8km and includes the following sections: Highway BR-116/RJ, between the junction with BR-465, in the municipality of Seropédica (RJ), and the RJ border /SP; Highway BR-116/SP, between the border RJ/SP and the junction with BR-381/SP-015, Marginal Tietê; Highway BR-101/RJ, between the junction with BR-465(A)/RJ-095 and the border RJ/SP; and Highway BR-101/SP – between the RJ/SP border and Praia Grande, Ubatuba. The contract period of the concession is 30 years. The auction for the concession had a hybrid competition model, that combined a discount on the toll fees and the concession fees. The Companhia de Concessoes Rodoviarias (CCR) is the sponsor, and the total amount of the investment is $2.51bn. The financial close date is January 28th, 2022.
