Description | The project involves the concession of basic sanitation services - including water, sewage and waste management, in Sao Simao municipality, in the state of Goias, Brazil. Project works include the restoration and rehabilitation of the current solid waste service and the building and operation of a new landfill site within 3 years. Consórcio São Simão Saneamento is the project SPV consisting of Orbis with 80% of share and Vital Engenharia with 20% of share. The state-owned Caixa Economica Federal bank structured the PPP through its Fundo de Estruturacao de Projetos fund. The concession period is for 35 years with total project cost of $66.5m (R$348m).
