Description | The project involves the development of Sapa Airport in Lao Cai, Vietnam. Located in Cam Con Commune of Bao Yen District, the airport covers 371 hectares of land, 100 kilometers from Sapa. The airport is used for civil and military purposes and consists of one runway and a road system connecting with the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Expressway.The scope of work includes the construction of a 2.4km long runway with a lighting system, apron beacons and taxiways as well as a passenger terminal and interchange at the Hanoi-Lao Cai highway. During the first phase, the airport is able to serve 1.5 million passengers per year, while at the end of the second phase the annual capacity is expected to rise up to 3 million passengers. |
