Description | The financing for the upgrade of the 1360MW Saratovskaya Hydroelectric power plant on Volga river in Saratov was closed in March 2014. The Saratovskaya Hydroelectric power plant was owned 100% by RusHydro. Rushydro in turn is majority owned by the state (60%). The total cost of the upgrade - replacement of eight existing turbines with new generation hydraulic design hydro turbines by Voith Hydro – was estimated at USD 262 million. The financing comprised of EUR95.4m ($131.371m) 15 years term loan and a EUR94.9m ($130.682m) 14 years term loan provided by ING Group and Credit Agricole. |
