SaskPower - Awasis 10 MW Solar Interconnection

Interconnection of the Awasis 10 MW Solar photovoltaic (PV) generation facility to the SaskPower system by connection to an existing 25 kilovolt (kV) distribution line which is in close proximity to the Awasis site. This will connect the Awasis facility to the existing Regina South substation which is approximately 10 kilometres (km) away from the generation facility. Upgrades are required to the distribution line and the substation infrastructure to facilitate connection of the new generation facility. The Awasis 10MW Solar Project recipients are responsible for development, construction, commissioning and operation of the generation facility as outlined in the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). SaskPower is responsible for the interconnection of this facility to the SaskPower grid and subsequent purchase of power from Awasis as per the terms and conditions outlined in the PPA.
