Interconnection of the Pesakastew 10 MW Solar photovoltaic (PV) generation facility proposed by the First Nations Power Authority (FNPA) / Pesakastew Solar to the SaskPower system. Pesakastew Solar is a partnership between Natural Forces, Star Blanket Cree Nation and George Gordon First Nation. The Pesakastew team is responsible for development, construction, commissioning and operation of the generation facility as outlined in the PPA. SaskPower is responsible for the interconnection of this facility to the SaskPower grid and subsequent purchase of power from Pesakastew as per the terms and conditions outlined in the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). 10 MW solar project located approximately 3 km south west from the city of Weyburn within the Rural Municipality of Weyburn (No. 67). Interconnection of the generation facility is proposed to be accomplished by connection to an existing 25 kilovolt (kV) overhead distribution line in close proximity to the Pesakastew site (SE13-8-15-W2M). This will connect the Pesakastew facility to the existing Weyburn substation (SW18-8-14-W2M) directly east of the solar generation facility. Upgrades are required to the distribution line and the substation infrastructure to facilitate connection of the new generation facility.
