Saskwater - Edenwold - Village of Edenwold Potable Water Supply Pipeline

The objective of the project is to expand upon the existing regional system that includes Town of Pilot Butte and Town of Balgonie and to provide the Village of Edenwold with a sustainable source of drinking water. SaskWater plans to purchase potable water from Balgonie and redistribute it back to Edenwold. Project scope includes hydraulic analysis, field investigation and construction of an 18 kilometre 4-inch High Density Polyethylene Pipe (HDPE) pipeline from the potable water reservoir in the Town of Balgonie to the Village of Edenwold’s potable water reservoir. It also includes design and installation of Balgonie water treatment plant transmission pumping infrastructure, Edenwold water treatment equipment decommission and plant distribution modification design and construction.The main outcomes of this project include: access to safe, clean and sustainable water for Edenwold; efficient and effective water supply infrastructure that will ensure reliability of service, and keeping water affordable for all community residents. Project will meet or exceed provincial drinking water quality standards/regulations.
