Satellite-Telco Partnerships for 5G Expansion in Remote India

planned

Global satellite communication companies like SpaceX's Starlink and Eutelsat OneWeb are partnering with Indian telecom operators such as Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel to extend high-speed internet access to remote and underserved regions in India. These partnerships aim to integrate satellite broadband with terrestrial networks to accelerate 5G rollout and unlock new revenue streams, especially in areas where terrestrial infrastructure is limited or unviable. The collaboration supports hybrid network models and satellite backhaul solutions to complement fiber and microwave links, enhancing connectivity in difficult terrains.
