Several major contracts related to gigaprojects, including a freshwater lake at Trojena and tunneling at Neom's The Line, were scrapped. The construction sector saw a 64.4% drop in awards, water sector fell by 85%, and other sectors like gas and power also saw declines. Despite this, Saudi Arabia remains the largest project market in MENA with USD 735.1 billion of projects under execution and a future pipeline worth USD 999.3 billion, led by construction, power, and transport sectors. |
