Description

ZOE Energy Storage has signed a joint venture agreement with a Saudi partner to establish Saudi Arabia's first large-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing facility. The project will combine ZOE's energy storage technology with local manufacturing capabilities to support Saudi Arabia's renewable energy and energy transition ambitions. The facility will be developed in two phases, starting with a 6 GWh annual production capacity in Q1 2027, expanding to 18 GWh in the second phase. It aims to reduce dependence on imported storage systems and support renewable energy targets including 130 GW renewable capacity and 50% clean power generation.
