ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) reporting has become mandatory in 2024, as a new legislation from the EU. The ESG agenda has changed how we must work towards impact credentials alongside financial performance. PILLARS is an Alliance for Education and Enterprises, aiming to co-create relevant skills and facilitate the flow of knowledge on sustainable impact. The innovativeness of PILLARS is in acknowledging ‘impact management’ as an emerging profession, which lacks structure, relevant skillset, requires supporting training and needs dedicated digital tools. Questions seeking answers, include: How do we actually measure impact of what we have delivered, looking into the past activities? How can we build on collective intelligence to deliver impact for our current activities? How can we capture signals and megatrends to mutually anticipate future impact? How can stakeholder co-creation be used to influence and articulate policy that will shape holistic impact performance? What skills are required to understand, plan and realize impact as part of projects, processes, and the emerging profession of impact managers? Applying Strategic Participatory Multilevel Stakeholder Foresight across Projects, Processes and Professional Skills, PILLARS partners are committed to deliver: Strategic Road map for growing the impact management domain; Impact Mapper (web) App for developing projects with sustainable impact as a mind-set; Impact Tracer (web) App for delivered projects integrating the responsiveness to impact at all organisational levels; A micro-credential course and a learner-centred curriculum identifying Impact Manager skills in line with EQF, ESCO, EQAVET, Europass, EntreComp & DigComp; Community of practice for the flow of knowledge between impact managers; By applying PILLARS Apps within the consortium, we create a demo case. Our goal is to establish an impact mindset to complement entrepreneurial attitudes towards a more sustainable economy.
