Description
Description | SCCA/pro.ba was founded in 1999, as an audio-visual production company (mainly TV and film production), with the core objective of creating “art for social change”, and reviving the post-war culture and society of Sarajevo. The company’s two main producers, Amra Bakšić Čamo and Adis Đapo, have 50+ years of experience, throughout which time their films, where they acted as delegate producer, have generated an excellent international outreach (with world premieres and award wins at A-list festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, Venice). As a way of mitigating the financial challenges posed by the film industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina, beyond their own productions, SCCA/pro.ba took on the role of coproducer and service provider for numerous successful production houses, their collaborations spanning across worldwide territories. With this slate, our plan is to, via our ample industry connections, make a step forward and produce more ambitious majority Bosnian feature film co-productions by upcoming talents of B&H, launching them onto the international market, and a TV series that is innovative at its genre and artistic approach and can be developed into the format that could be produced not just in Bosnia, but in the region of former Yugoslavia. SCCA/pro.ba aims to develop four projects: two fiction features GERMAN DREAM (in coproduction with Serbia, Croatia, France, Germany) and SUPERMARKET (in coproduction with Serbia, Poland, Norway), TV series ANNIVERSARY (in coproduction with Serbia), and short film BONACA (in coproduction with Croatia). Apart from the short film, these projects are designed to focus on female stories from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The slate will support our company to raise the production value of produced content and become more competitive, by facilitating the production of audience driven art house films, drama series, and developing original content, as well as securing distribution, via traditional and innovative channels and platforms. |
