The scheme supports India's national target of gasifying 100 million tonnes of coal by 2030, strengthens energy security, and reduces dependence on imports of LNG, urea, ammonia, and methanol. Financial incentives of up to 20% of plant and machinery cost will be provided, with a transparent competitive bidding process for project selection. |
