Description | Six long-vacant buildings on Hamilton Hill will be transformed into new affordable housing. The development includes three properties on Germania Avenue and three on Schenectady Street, housing 11 high-quality apartments. Eight apartments are for households earning up to 50% of the Area Median Income, and three for households earning up to 80% AMI. The project is backed by funding from the New York State HOME American Rescue Plan Program, the City of Schenectady, and the Little Family Foundation. The renovation is expected to be completed by summer 2026, with apartments remaining affordable for at least 15 years. |
