The project involves designing, financing, constructing, and maintaining around 40,000 classrooms in Regions VI, VII, and VIII, and select regions in the Luzon island group, which were not included in PSIP III.The project incorporates the "place pillar" from the UNESCO Happy Schools Global Framework for learning spaces, intending to transform both physical and digital spaces in schools to make them safer, healthier, and more inclusive. It aligns with DepEd's mandate to establish schools and learning centers as facilities where learners can acquire core competencies. The objectives of this project are:To help the current classroom construction projects of DepEd in addressing the classroom gap in the Philippines, andThe front-loading of the construction of 40,000 classrooms in Regions VI, VII, and VIII, as well as in select regions in Luzon, through PSIP IV, shall benefit approximately 1,600,000 learners. Sound school infrastructure will also provide students and teachers with an environment that supports quality learning and well-being.
