Description | Drexel University and Brandywine Realty Trust have broken ground on the first phase of Schuylkill Yards, a 14-acre mixed-use development in Philadelphia’s University City neighborhood. Phase one will include the 1.3-acre Drexel Square community park, designed by SHoP Architects and West 8, on what was a parking lot across from 30th Street Station. Phase one will also include 4.6 acres of residential, office, research and retail space. The entire development is expected to take as long as 20 years to build out and will include about 7 million sq ft of new construction. |
