Description
Description | Societe Diarra Negoce (SDN), established in 2008, is a leading animal feed producer in Mali, with a diverse portfolio that includes cottonseed edible oil production and transport and logistics services. SDN’s logistics operations are backed by a dedicated fleet of 65 trucks and 24 trailers, all operated by its own drivers. IFC to propose a 7-year loan of up to €13 million, consisting of up to €6.5 million senior secured IFC A-loan and up to €6.5 million subordinated loan from IDA-PSW to Societe Diarra Negoce (“SDN”). The use of proceeds includes the greenfield construction of a wheat flour milling plant with a daily capacity of 300 tons, grain silos with a 20,000 metric ton capacity, and a 2.3MW solar power installation for the operation of the wheat flour milling plant. The planned solar farm will be installed on the greenfield roof and will include photovoltaic systems, lithium battery storage, a diesel generator, and a local low-voltage distribution network with transformers. A transmission line (T-line) will be developed along the existing Right of Way (RoW). This infrastructure has been planned to run parallel to the current electrical network, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations and optimal use of the available corridor. All facilities are located within Banankoro on a single property, positioned in an industrial hub on the outskirts of Bamako. The site is accessible via the RN7 highway, which connects Bamako to Sikasso and Cote d’Ivoire |
