Description | Sweden has been a member of IHTSDO/SNOMED International since 2007 and has established processes for maintenance of SNOMED CT, including translation, awareness, education, and implementation support. SNOMED CT has been implemented in several applications, registers, and projects. The National Release Centre has also established close collaboration with key health care stakeholders including other government agencies and a dedicated SNOMED CT implementation work group within the health care regions. The object of this project is to promote the use of standardised terminology, here SNOMED CT, for health data encoding in Swedish health care and to facilitate participation in MyHealth@EU and EHDS when SNOMED CT is the recommended terminology. |
