Knowledge and qualifications and thus education and training play a key role in the site competition. Often, however, friction losses and breaks occur between the different educational contexts, such as between school and education or private and working life. The aim of the IBH-Lab Seamless Learning is to create the content, didactic and technical basis for a seamless learning concept, i.e. for lifelong, seamless learning, for the Lake Constance region and to integrate the experience in the development and implementation of concrete practical projects. The Lake Constance region with its many innovative companies must face global competition — even for the best minds. Rapid change requires a high degree of adaptability with the appropriate need for lifelong learning. Seamless learning starts with fragmented learning experiences: In school learning is no longer used in the course of studies; in practice Relevant things cannot be contributed from studies or further education. The goal of Seamless Learning is to overcome breaks — between individual levels of education, between school and professional worlds or from analogue to digital. New technologies are also being used. On the basis of the design-based research approach, the needs situation together with universities, schools and companies are identified in a first step. Based on this, didactic prototypes are developed, initial implementations are carried out, as well as the experience evaluated and further developed. The IBH-Lab Seamless Learning makes it possible to concreteise the didactic principles beyond lighthouses and adapt them to the specifics and requirements of the Lake Constance region. Through the comparative evaluation, the experience can be prepared and used for further seamless learning projects.
