SeaSters: Promoting the access and inclusion of women in Sailing

The overall objective of the project is facilitating and strengthening the access of women with different ages, sexual orientation, cultural, social, economic backgrounds to the unprofessional practice of the sport of sailing. The project involves 5 partners from Italy, France and Germany and its specific objectives are the following: - Enhance the cooperation among women sailing sport clubs, projects, associations and informal initiatives at European level - Exchange and disseminate best practices of sailing social initiatives promoting access and inclusion of women especially those with less social and economic opportunities and different cultural backgrounds. - Ground the base for a large scale European women sailing project/network - Strengthen the Women Sailing Communities of the participating organizations In order to achieve those objectives the project foresees the following activities: - Mapping European Women Saling Initiatives - 4 European Network Webinars - Women Sailing Fest In Italy - Sailing Shadowing (crew racing abroad) - 1 Best practices webinar on access and inclusion - Guidelines on access and inclusion - European Women Sailing Web online map and forum - Dissemination of the guidelines - Promotional Video - Visibility events in 3 countries The main expected outputs of the action are: - European Online map of Women Sailing Initiatives - A online forum at European level - Guidelines on access and inclusion in the sport of sailing of women with less opportunities - A large scale action/projects designed and ready to be implemented
