Seawater desalination plant and water supply PPP project in Mejillones

To be located in Mejillones, Antofagasta, the project consists of the design, construction and start-up of marine works for the collection of sea water as well as the inmisario and exit outfall pipes. The scope of the project will also contemplate a desalination plant for sea water, with a production capacity of 86,400 m³ per day, through reverse osmosis (RO) processes; an overhead power line of 66 KV and 75 km in length; and a 154 km long line, executed in steel pipe with 3 pumping stations, which will be responsible for pumping the desalinated water to the facilities of the Spence Mine, after overcoming slopes of more than 2,000 m.
