Description
Description | The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) adopted a tariff of ₹2.45/kWh for Solar Energy Corporation of India's (SECI) 1,200 MW solar power projects under the second phase of the Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) program. The projects were part of Tranche III, with capacity allocated to SECI after a competitive bidding process conducted by the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA). SECI entered into power usage agreements for 500 MW with Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company and 700 MW with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam. The Commission refused to approve a higher tariff sought by SECI but allowed provisional recovery of compensation for increased goods and services tax as a change-in-law event. |
