The development objective of Second Growth and Competitiveness Programmatic Development Policy Financing (DPF) for Ethiopia aims at boosting economic transformation in Ethiopia by increasing private sector participation and promoting good governance practices. This second operation is expected to contribute to the deepening of key structural reforms, while it also introduces measures aimed at removing constraints to access to credit by the private sector and improving macroeconomic management. The operation is structured around three strategic pillars: (i) maximizing finance for development; (ii) improving the investment climate and developing the financial sector; and (iii) enhancing transparency and accountability. This DPF series directly supports the government’s program, with a focus on maximizing finance for development, expanding the economic role of the private sector, and promoting transparency and accountability.
