Second Programmatic Sustainable and Equitable Growth Loan

The proposed loan for Brazil supports a second set of microeconomic and institutional reforms (the Growth Program) that foster sustainable and equitable growth by favoring capital accumulation and productivity gains in Brazil. It seeks to deepen the Program initiated by the First Loan by consolidating key progress in the originally four selected areas: (i) reducing logistics costs, (ii) enhancing business environment, (iii) improving financial sector efficiency, access, and soundness, and (iv) increasing technological progress and innovation - and defining new conditions for further continuation.
