Description | The project will provide near-term striping and signing changes to improve existing biking/ pedestrian conditions in advance of the OneBayArea Grant funded streetscape project coming in 2016. The proposed improvements between Market St and Townsend St include: a bike box at Market Street, bike lanes north of Howard Street where space can be created through a one- to two-block travel lane reduction, greenback sharrows south of Howard Street to King St, continental crosswalks throughout the corridor and painted safety zones at the uncontrolled South Park crosswalk. |
