Secondary Wastewater Treatment and System Upgrades

The proposed project will construct a wastewater treatment facility that meets provincial and federal regulatory standards that require sewage treatment to at least a secondary standard and will improve and protect the local marine environment. The facility and related infrastructure will service the District of Tofino, Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation, and Parks Canada will have the ability to connect to the District’s sanitary conveyance system in the future. The project works will include: - Construction of a wastewater treatment plant to meet federal and provincial regulatory requirements; - Installation of related control and monitoring systems; and, - Related civil, mechanical, and electrical works.
