SESEC VI (Seconded European Standardization Expert in China) builds on nearly 20 years of EU-China cooperation in standardization. Its core objective is to strengthen mutual understanding, promote the European Standardization System in China, and support technical alignment to reduce barriers to trade and enhance regulatory convergence. The project fosters dialogue between European and Chinese stakeholders, delivers strategic intelligence, and supports policy development through targeted engagement and outreach activities. The SESEC expert, supported by up to two local staff, based in Beijing, will act as advisor, networker, promoter, and representor, providing regular updates, reports, and strategic input to stakeholders. Key deliverables include classified intelligence briefings, newsletters, webinars, and stakeholder events. Project performance will be assessed through a set of quantitative and qualitative indicators aligned with SESEC’s strategic goals.
