Description | The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) planned to operationalize the Sector 72 boosting station by the end of July 2026. The project involves an 18-km-long water pipeline laid from 2013 onwards, intended to supply water to sectors 58 to 74. However, testing revealed around 20 major leaks and gaps between pipe sections, delaying commissioning. The pipeline was not operational for over a decade due to land acquisition issues and legal arbitration between the contractor and Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP). GMDA has requested HSVP to rectify deficiencies, complete pending work, and undertake testing and commissioning. |
