Description | Program objective / strategic reference framework Access for all population groups and genders, particularly in rural areas, to basic health services that are oriented towards international standards and sustainably financed is improved. Core problem Inadequate quality of basic health care. Module objective Improvement of the quality of basic health care. Contribution to the national implementation of Agenda 2030 The project is embedded in the State Program on Health Development (SPHD) 2019 - 2030, which in turn defines the contribution of the health sector to the national implementation of Agenda 2030. Target group Entire population of the country. Recipient/project sponsor Republic of Kyrgyzstan, represented by the Ministry of Finance / Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. Key outputs Policy-based disbursement of investment funds after agreed Disbursement-Linked Indicators (DLIs) have been achieved within the framework of a Program for Results (PforR), advisory measures to support the sponsor in implementing the necessary steps. Agreed cooperation with other (German public clients) Co-financing with the World Bank & Swiss Development Cooperation, complementary consulting services from GIZ to improve the quality of services in the area of perinatal health at the level of basic health care. Specification of the FC instrument including accompanying measures FC grant for investment and - as part of an accompanying measure - related consulting costs. Total costs and proposed FC contribution Total costs EUR 33.2 million; FC contribution EUR 10.0 million (inv. EUR 9.0 million, BM EUR 1.0 million), co-financing EUR 23.2 million. Expected implementation period 2020 - 2025. |
