Nabrawind developed a hybrid turbine system that eliminates the need for massive cranes. Envision Energy collaborated on the project with 7.8-megawatt turbines generating energy at the top of the tower. The turbines and tower are designed to withstand low-wind and cyclone conditions, with a tower height of up to 188 meters and a rotor diameter of 182 meters, setting records for onshore projects. 17 of these towers are deployed at Fortescue's Nullagine Wind farm, with potential for a larger deployment at the proposed Bonney Downs wind farm in Australia, which could generate up to 2.1 gigawatts of energy.
