Application for Film Distribution 2025, activities and reinvestments in new European films. We will mainly reinvest in two areas for European films: in minimum guaranties and in release costs. We expect to acquire and release between 5 and 12 European films within the eligibility period of this action. Some films might be acquired before the action starts, but then we will reinvest in release costs only for this particular film, as the film will be released within the eligibility period even though it was acquired before. We will most likely acquire drama/arthouse titles and hopefully a few animation/family titles as well. Animation titles often have a somewhat high MG and higher release costs than we typically have for more arthouse titles. As these are more expensive in general we believe that a part of our reinvestment will be spent here, which hopefully means that we will be able to reach larger groups of families and create even better campaigns. The grants from MEDIA mean a great deal to us for these titles. Films such as EVEN MICE BELONG IN HEAVEN would be a lot more difficult to release if it was not for this support. As mentioned above we believe that a big part of our grant will be spent on animation/family titles, but we also expect to have quite a few arthouse titles and films in other genres.
