Description | The Seminoe Pumped Storage Project is a proposed pumped storage facility at Seminoe Reservoir in Wyoming. The project involves building a 13,000-acre-foot man-made lake on a mountaintop above the existing reservoir, connected by an underground electrical powerhouse. Water would be pumped to the upper lake during high wind-energy production and released to generate approximately 900 megawatts of electricity for up to 12 hours when needed.
