The project involves the development, construction and operation of village of 9 MW solar power plant located in the village of Semypolky close to Brovary (Kyiv region) in Ukraine. The project is under Ukraine's green tariff program. The sponsors are Norsk Solar AS (main sponsor), Pro-Energy LLC and Windforce Ltd. Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) will provide EUR 4.35 million (4.91 million) and the equity partners will contribute EUR 4.35 million (4.91 million), which gives a project cost of EUR 8.7 million ($ 9.82 million). Financial close was announced on 3 July 2019. It is expected that the plant will start operating from January 2020 and will generate 11,000 MWh annually providing CO2 emission reductions of about 8,600 tonnes and energy to more than 5000 households. Asters acted as a legal and tax counsel to Norsk Solar.
