Description

Description

"Our past experiences teach us only comprehensive and devoted development can bring successful financing, delivery and visibility of our projects. Senca Studio hereby presents a diverse slate of three projects which are in different stages of development. An art-house drama with genre elements, WASHED AND BURIED (original title: ČISTA IN ZAKOPANA), is a fourth fiction film by renowned director Martin Turk. A story about the cultural, linguistic, and spiritual identity is taking place among the Slovene minority in Italy whose member is Turk himself. Status: scriptwriting; creative development; financing; development support partly in place. A creative documentary SNATCHED FROM THE SOURCE (original title: ZAJETI V IZVIRU) by Maja Weiss unfolds the life stories of four ""'racially pure' Slovenian babies, who were stolen from their mothers during WWII and adopted into German families under the infamous Nazi program Lebensborn. Now, in their late 70ies, they are one of the last living victims of this monstrous program. Status: research; bible writing; financing; production support partly in place. Short film SPORTS DAY (original title: ŠPORTNI DAN) is the first professional production of an emerging director August Braatz. With a unique cinematographic approach, he tells the semi-autobiographical story of a struggled teenager. Status: creative development; production support partly in place. During the development, we'll execute all vital activities and deliver creative and financial outputs which will enable projects to enter production. We'll focus on three pillar activities which will be mutually implemented: (1) creative development of the subject and visual approach; (2) financing of the development and production including planning, budgeting, and networking; and (3) dissemination of the project which includes market research and networking. A total of 36 outputs will be delivered, and more than 25 people will be employed for the tasks we want to accomplish."
