Opportunity Seneca College provides a polytechnic education to 30,000 full-time and 60,000 part-time students. With campuses in Toronto, York Region and Peterborough and education partners around the world, Seneca offers degrees, graduate certificates, diplomas and certificates in more than 300 full-time, part-time and online programs.. The college’s King Campus is located on a 282 hectare site and offers a number of programs including social services, policing and public safey, nursing and animal health. In order to meet growing demand for postsecondary education and enhance the quality of student learning and campus life, Seneca College wanted to expand its King Campus to accommodate an additional 1,450 full-time students. Results The new 200,000-square-foot facility includes 25 new classrooms, computer labs, specialty labs, a library, and student centre with a multi-purpose athletic and recreation space. The campus can now accommodate 1,450 additional students, creating a total capacity of 5,000 full-time students, while enhancing the quality of student learning and campus life. The project allows Seneca to expand its range of health, community service and public safety programs. At the peak of construction, there were more than 300 workers on site daily. Interesting The new facility is named in recognition of Magna International, which has provided a $3-million gift to the Campaign for King Campus.
