Description
Description | The proposed project will support the ongoing and planned higher education reforms to enhance the capacity of higher education institutions (HEIs) in Senegal to produce high-quality graduates with skills aligned with labor market needs. The Project will do so by improving the governance framework for higher education while concurrently supporting the Government’s strategic policy options, including (i) expanding access to short-term tertiary vocational training programs, (ii) improving the quality and relevance of programs by strengthening quality assurance systems in place, performance requirements, and making courses more relevant to the labor market needs, (iii) strengthening internal and external efficiency; (iv) promoting greater use of information technology in tertiary education; (v) modernizing governance systems and management of the higher education system and (vi) developing research. |
