Description | The Senqu Bridge is a newly inaugurated extradosed bridge located more than 1,400 metres above sea level in Lesotho. It is part of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project, the largest water transfer scheme in Africa, designed to transfer up to 1.26 billion cubic metres of water annually to South Africa. It is 825 metres long with 16 spans and was built using the Incremental Launching Method. |
