It is the longest bridge in Lesotho and part of Phase II of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project, replacing an existing structure that will be submerged by the Polihali Reservoir. The bridge was constructed over three years at a cost of approximately R2.4 billion and opened to traffic in March 2026. |
